The Snow Storm that Was

It appears to be a punishment or a joke from Wednesday's snow scare--schools and businesses closed the night before the storm hit, and when all was said and done, only up to a few inches of wet snow were on the ground. But Tuesday's storm was anticipated to be a light clipper storm. Though we were given a little warning as to what could develop, many schools (like mine) remained open, graciously allowing students to drive home through frosty streets and 11 inches of snow.

Thomaston Dam

I went out for a walk to a dam near my house--the Thomaston Dam. It was built after the great flood of 1955. It's a beautiful structure.
